Poland

Based on the news coming from Poland, one may be tempted to think that the crypto enthusiasts fight an uphill battle with the government to make their favorite technology gain the upper hand. In reality, the picture is a bit of a mixed bag, yet with an optimistic outlook. The Polish people are surely interested in cryptos, prompting some government officials to try to redirect their attention elsewhere by calling all cryptocurrencies Ponzi schemes. There were also initiatives to push for the adoption of the Civil Law Transactions Tax on all cryptocurrency transactions. In 2019, Poland started its own crypto taxing experiment, in which the traders will be required to declare their revenues from the sale of cryptocurrencies at a tax rate of 19%. In this manner, crypto trading will be treated as the similar activities taking place on the stock markets.
